It is NOW that matters.

The title is vividly brought home to me as I am suffering from a relapse of Dengue which I was unlucky enough to pick up several years ago.

So I am lying, sweating and shivering in turn, and feeling very sorry for myself. Particularly since I put these days in the 'lost time' box, and as I have said in an earlier blog, time lost can never be recovered. A few more shards of life slipping through my fingers.

Joe sent this advice, so he obviously read my last blog!

one good hillside erosion prevention is burlap bags
potato bags for example
helps keep dirt there until the tree roots
cut the bag open to cover twice the area

reminds ppl what the tree is for
just put a few rows around the tree
tell the kids its not polite to step on the tree's feet!

now
put some in the steep areas next to the steps
where the plants are going to grow
or in other bad areas

the plants can grow up thru the bags
then the bags bio-degrade
no problem about litter
the fibers enrich the soil and add fiber
i notice the dirt there is rather silty in several of the fotos

The title is also a rebuke to myself for ending the last blog as I did. Roll on Friday...
