"It is important to celebrate the first in anything new." Lindsay Walton

18 December 2007

Something new usually heralds some change in your life. It usually means that you have DONE something different - and life rewards action.

If you begin to do different things, then new people will enter your life, and new possibilities will occur to you. New opportunities appear.

How many times do I hear people moan about not having that someone special in their life, being unable to find that perfect person to share their cosmic square inch?

How does one find LOVE? By ACTING, which means DOING something. If you want love in your life, get out there and GIVE love. NOT go out there LOOKING for it, go and GIVE. Go to a children's cancer ward, and love those kids. No attachment, just love. When they are discharged, love the next lot. Those who give, without any thought of getting something back, are usually overwhelmed by cosmic responses. Hey, the Universe likes a little love now and then as well, you know.

Today's title came as a gift from a wonderful guy who has the honor of being the first to support Daniel's Project Palhaco. The fotos below show the kids most in need on this particular day [we cover the value of food packages in Blog 20 December ] having a ball in the supermarket, then painfully lugging everything uphill. Once I get steps put in [part of the Project], that at least will be a tad easier - though never easy! But don't expect to ever see an escalator...

I am sure there are many people who read this blog who intend to help us sooner or later. But intentions are worthless, just words that will eventually evaporate and leave nothing fulfilling behind for your personal growth. Intentions = words = flush! Don't INTEND to do something - actually DO it.

I think you guys are doing a great job and I'm glad to be able to help in some way.

You can thank me in your blog if you like. I would not normally seek any recognition, but since I am your first (and I feel honoured to be so) I think it is important to celebrate the first in anything new, not for my sake but for what you are trying to achieve in your quest.

I only hope it encourages others to support you as well.

Just so that you know, I'm in Sydney, Australia, - I understand one of you Daniels is from Australia too, so we have a connection. I have followed your quest, on and off, from the early days when you were posting your original quest story. You have come long way since then.

Daniel (the other one!!), it is great to see you are still going strong and are passionate about helping those around you who are in need of an opportunity to improve their lives. It is a big task but I hope every little win encourages you to continue on in spite of the difficulties.

I wish you both, and the rest of your family, good health and a joyful Christmas and New Year.

    Cheers.

    Lindsay
